PSH 25 Tip-Tilt Piezo Mirror Stage

Two Axis -
Tilting Stages For Mirrors

Ideally Suited for Precise nm Beam Steering

Two-Axis Tip-Tilt Solutions

Two-axis tilting piezo stages offer highly repeatable tilting motions with large displacements of up to 44 mrad. These tilting stages are ideal for use as fast steering mirrors (FSMs) in Lidar, OISL, or other beam steering applications.

The PSH tilting stages consist of several systems for high speed scanning and mirror shifting. The fast movement of mirrors and other optical components make the PSH series well suited for many applications such as high speed scanning, eye tracking, and laser beam steering.

The key features of the mirror tilting systems include a high resonant frequency in the kHz range and nearly unlimited resolution in the sub-nm range.

The principle of preloaded direct-drive actuators allows the systems of the PSH series to be used for the precise positioning of heavy components as well.  Long term stability without drift and hysteresis are guaranteed by the use of the optional integrated position feedback sensors.

Example Specifics:

The PSH 25 serves fast and precise positioning of optical components such as mirrors and prisms. The piezo stages can be equipped with a strain gauge positioning sensor.

The PSH 10/2 system offers ± tilting up to 16 mrad optical, and microsecond rise time.

The PKS 1 was designed for flexible laser beam stabilization which can easily be integrated into the beam line.

Stages Characteristics:

  • Tilting to ±22 mrad
  • Sub-µrad resolution
  • Some varieties are ideal for dynamic applications
  • Systems for multiple mirror sizes
  • Strain gauge measurement models available
