NV120/1

NV120/1 – Description

The NV120/1 and NV120/1 CLE piezo amplifiers are engineered to meet the highest standards of accuracy and dynamics for high-resolution piezoelectric actuators.

These amplifiers provide a permanent output current of 120 mA, with a signal noise of <0.3 mV @ 500 Hz. It achieves position resolution in the sub-nm range in addition to a settling time in the microseconds range.

The NV120/1 piezo controllers are designed to be compact table top systems in a rugged metal housing. To accommodate use in laboratory conditions, the amplifiers have a dimmable TFT display.

For user flexibility various control options are included. A manual control, as well as an analog control, and various digital interfaces are available. The NV120/1 has two types of amplifiers. The NV120/1 is intended for actuators without an integrated measurement system.

The NV120/1 CLE has automatic sensor identification – the integrated ASI-functionality. It is designed for use with piezo actuators that have an integrated measurement system. It can be either a high-resolution strain gauge sensor or a non-contact capacitive sensor.

12V40

12V40 Controller – Description

The 12V40 controller is designed for piezoelectric actuators used in nano-positioning tasks for industrial applications. Different types of casing, with and without screw slots, and a 19″ rack mount version are available.

The 12V40 requires a main supply voltage of 12 V DC. The piezo controller offers the user the choice to control a piezoelectric element manually or via analog modulation input with a signal of 0 to 10 V DC – with a nearly unlimited step resolution. To support industrial use, all operational elements from the front panel are also available on the rear panel. All sockets are also available on the back so that the amplifiers can be easily integrated into an OEM product line. The output voltage can be supervised on the monitor output. Special circuits are integrated to protect the piezo element from voltage spikes and excessive voltages.

These amplifiers are well suited for sub-nm positioning tasks due to a very low voltage noise of only 0.3 mV rms.

nano box USB

nano box USB – Description

The nano box USB is a stand alone piezo amplifier with 16 bit D/A resolution. The small and powerful amplifier comes with a USB 2.0 interface and a list of useful controls. No additional manual or analog inputs are necessary. The simple connection from USB to a PC enables fast implementation of high-precision positioning tasks for the workplace.

The nano box USB is designed to control piezoelectrical actuators in static and low dynamic applications. The low noise level of the output signal of only 3 mV allows extremely precise control of high-resolution actuators over the entire range of motion. A unique feature is the integrated closed-loop controller for piezoelectrical actuators with strain gauge sensors. The nano box USB can be used in combination with piezoelectric actuators which have the suffix “D” on their part number.

The amplifier nano box USB is fully enclosed in a metallic housing. An wide-range power supply module (90 V up to 264 V) is included. The control interface is made for USB 2.0. The digital interfaces have a 16bit resolution. A set of commands and LabView drivers are included.

EVD 300

EVD 300 – Description

The EVD 300 is a digital amplifier designed for low voltage piezoelectric actuators as part of a d-Drive modular system. It is designed for 19″ rack mounting. The permanent output current is 300 mA.

Actuators with a high electrical capacitance can be driven very fast and with a short rise time. The closed loop-version of this amplifier with ASI-function (Automatic Sensor Identification) can be used with strain gauge or capacitive feedback sensors without additional modification.

The DSP (digital signal processor) is 64 MHz, the sampling rate is 20 µsec, and the effective resolution is 20 bit.

As part of a d-Drive modular system, an EVD amplifier works with an EDS interface inside of a d-Drive modular casing.

The advantage of the free interchangability of calibrated digital actuators, makes the EVD 300 suitable for use in high accuracy positioning applications in the semiconductor industry, biological research, fiber alignment, metrology and many other applications.
