MICI 140 - precision adjustment for LINOS-stages
The elements of the new MICI 140 series are well equipped for improving the positioning accuracy of linear stages. They consist of a piezoelectric actuator which, in combination with a micrometer screw, are mounted onto the linear stage.
The new series has been developed in co-operation with LINOS Photonics GmbH & Co. KG Göttingen, one of the few companies in the world that develop and produce complex optical systems. The new systems offer outstanding features, especially concerning design and resonant frequency: They are produced with a small and compact design and operate with a range of motion of 140 µm in open loop at resonant frequencies of >900 Hz. They provide a resolution of <1 nm in closed loop operation.
An initial adjustment is made by the measuring screw and the final fine adjustment is made by the MICI element. The MICI 140 elements are compatible with LINOS - micrometer screw types G 7.5x24, G 7.5x16.5, G 10, G 15, G 25, G 50.
An optional positioning sensor guarantees an extremely high positioning stability and high reproducibility.
Just as with all other piezo stages, the MICI piezoelectric actuator is controlled by a voltage signal.
