Expansion of PKS series
The PKS series of mirror tilting systems is now extended by the addition of a new system for 1”-mirrors. The two axes tilting systems are designed for highly dynamic applications and they achieve high precision mirror positioning within microseconds.
The solid and continuous positioning of a controlled optical laser is a technical challenge that is now solved by the new PKS mirror tilting series developed by piezosystem jena.
The new system, PKS 1-1”, -designed for 1”-mirrors can perform microsecond high precision corrections in laser adjustment. Based on two orthogonal tilting axes, their compact design and high stiffness result in a high resonant frequency of 900 Hz in combination with a fine resolution of 2 nrad. Within the large manual setting angle of ±2,° the piezo drive allows a fine adjustment of 1 mrad. The system is completely adaptable to vacuum conditions.
A mirror (25.4mm) can be mounted easily by using the set screw or can be glued directly. The new PKS 1-1” of the PKS series represents a cost effective and competitive solution for applications that require highly precise positioning of optical systems.
